Our commitment

Arcare Homes is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. As a specialist care provider supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, we believe our website must be accessible to everyone, including the people we support and their families.

Conformance status

This website aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards. We continually review and improve our site to ensure it meets these standards.

Accessibility features

Our website includes keyboard navigation support for all interactive elements, sufficient colour contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for text), alt text for all meaningful images, clear heading hierarchy and semantic HTML, resizable text up to 200% without loss of functionality, and form fields with visible labels and error messages.

Known limitations

We are aware that some embedded map content may not be fully accessible to screen readers, and some PDF documents may not yet be fully tagged for accessibility. We are working to address these issues.
